WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

General directions regarding maintenance of Torpol products

Torpol products can be machine washed at up to 30°C and then either tumble- or air-dried.

​

Before washing make sure to fasten any velcro belts, buckles, etc. Also, it is recommended to wash products with any metal fixtures separately as the presence of such objects might cause damage to other products during laundry.

 

Sort and wash the products according to their colors. In particular, it is recommended to wash white products separately.

General directions regarding maintenance of Evolon® material

​

Due to the extremely high sorption properties of Evolon®, allowing for the absorption of the amount of liquid equivalent to 400% of the fabric mass, it is recommended that the amount of water during washing is checked and adjusted if necessary!

​

 

Maintenance of products with knitted wool and earnets

​

Products featuring knitted wool (saddlecloths, saddle pads, pads, protectors) as well as earnets can be machine washed at up to 30°C, on a “wool” or “delicate” cycle, using mild detergents recommended for wool.

​

Air or tumble dry on a setting for wool or delicates. The products must not be dried on any heater or in the direct, strong sunlight.

​

In case of Hoof Care and Leg Care products, make sure to remove inserts from the products before washing. For the best results, the inserts and the products should be washed and dried separately according to the above directions.

​

• Excessive drying of a sheepskin product leads to stiffening and deformation of the product and subsequent loss of its characteristics and performance. 

• Both washing and drying of knitted wool products at high temperatures causes felting or otherwise compacting of the wool fibers.

Maintenance of products with covers, i.e. Memory Pad, Latex Pad, Corrective Pad, etc.

Prior to performing maintenance of pads, open the product cover and remove the foam inserts. After removal of the inserts, pads should be taken care of according to the general directions regarding the maintenance of Torpol products.

​

The inserts do not require as frequent maintenance as covers. If needed, they can be dipped in warm water (up to 30°C) with mild detergent, then rinsed to remove all detergent and air-dried.

​

After complete drying, the inserts should be placed inside the cover in a manner ensuring their even distribution, making sure they are not wrinkled or curled.

Maintenance of magnetic products 

​

Magnetic products should be maintained according to the general directions regarding the maintenance of Torpol products.

The exceptions are the products with zipped pockets and those with Bioflex Mega Spiral (NMB) magnets. It is recommended to remove the magnets prior to washing.

After drying the magnets should be reinserted in the appropriate pockets.

 

 

Maintenance of stable products

​

Prior to performing maintenance of stable products make sure to remove all such elements as polyurethane inserts, wooden bars, etc. Empty all pockets, fasten velcro bands and zippers, then follow the general directions regarding maintenance of Torpol products.  

After drying the removed elements should be reinserted in the appropriate spots.

 

 

 

Additional information:

​

• Loss of hair in knitted wool products is a natural process.

• Knitted wool and sheepskin products have a distinct, natural smell.

• The NMA and NMB magnets do not lose their properties during maintenance. The NMA magnets are properly protected and placed in the products permanently. They should not be removed during maintenance.

• It is recommended to wash products with velcro, zippers, metal elements, etc. in a washing bag or net. That way the products and their elements will not get damaged as well as they will not damage other products washed or dried at the same time.

• Delicate products, such as earnets, should be washed in bags.

• Following the above instructions will considerably prolong the use of Torpol products.
